When a new family member is born majority of people usually go for the standard wooden baby crib. However, we are about to show you how our handwoven macrame hanging cradle can help your newborn baby adapt to the world easier.
WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE A HANGING CRIB INSTEAD OF A REGULAR ONE?
Besides being an impressive decorative element, a hanging crib has a lot of advantages. The rocking motion reminds the baby of their mother´s womb, it has a calming and relaxing effect that makes the baby sleep and rest better. The aesthetics of the crib allows you to see your baby from your bed and gives you comfort knowing they´re ok.
They´re easy to hang and move around. During the day you can take the crib to the living room and at night you put it back in the bedroom.
They´re great for cozy homes, because when suspended, it doesn´t have legs or support that take up space.
At Nica Made we have this stunning handmade macrame cradle with a boho style that will make your baby´s room stand out from the rest. Made in Nicaragua, 100% cotton manila with a centenary technique implemented by our artisans in Masaya. It can hold up to 20 kgs and includes a mattress stuffed with 100% cotton flakes (if requested). Both black and white models are available.
The crib is attached directly to the ceiling or a standard hammock stand. These hold a lot of weight. We recommend that you ask a professional for help if you´re not sure how to do it.
MY OWN EXPERIENCE
In my own experience, as a mother of one beautiful baby girl, I can say I´m obsessed with my macrame hanging bassinet. It literally swings my baby every time she moves, guiding her to sleep again. At night, if I hear her waking up, I gently swing the crib so she can relax and go back to dreamland.
